John Gullixson brings 12 years of hospitality and luxury development experience to Zephyr. Most recently, John was the Vice President of Development for Sydell Group, a creator and manager of unique hotels. While at Sydell, John managed the design and construction of the award-winning Freehand LA, NoMad LA and the LINE Austin. Prior to Sydell Group, John worked at Toll Brothers City Living, the urban development division of Toll Brothers, Inc., the nation’s premier builder of luxury homes. At Toll Brothers, John managed the design, construction, sales and marketing of condominium and hotel projects in New York City and California, including Pierhouse Condominium, 1 Hotel in Brooklyn Bridge Park and 205 Water in Dumbo, Brooklyn, which was named the 2012 Brooklyn Multi-Family Building of the Year. Throughout his career, John has overseen the development of more than 2 million square feet of commercial and residential real estate with an aggregate value in excess of $2 billion.
Mr. Gullixson graduated from the University of California, San Diego with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Urban Studies & Planning and Political Science, and received a JD from the Seton Hall University School of Law.
