This 16-acre stretch of oceanfront land that sits on the bluffs above North Beach (also known as Dog Beach) in Del Mar has been shut off from the public for the last 100 years. This one-of-a-kind coastal property consists of seven parcels owned by three local families. Zephyr was approached to develop five gated mega-mansions on the middle parcel, CEO Brad Termini was instead intent on making the site usable and accessible to the community. The proposed plan for five private homes would continue to keep the property inaccessible to the public. Brad approached Robert Green, also a North County-based real estate developer with deep experience in resort development, about developing the site, and making this coveted piece of land into something the public will be able to enjoy for the first time. Over the course of the last year, Brad and Robert, both North County coastal residents, have been working with the land owners to assemble the site. The goal is to create a world class resort with branded residences that fit into the landscape and scale of the community and is characteristic of Del Mar. As locals who live near the site, Brad and Robert understand just how important this is to residents, and are committed to ensuring the project adds value to the community by incorporating resources and amenities that will have a positive impact.
