With 25 years of diverse accounting and business management experience, Mr. Bekmanis heads Zephyr’s Accounting team. Prior to joining the company, he served as Director of Accounting at OliverMcMillan, a privately held real estate developer specializing in urban mixed-use, retail, residential and office real estate projects, from 2013 to 2018.

Prior to OliverMcMillan he served as assistant controller at BioMed Realty Trust, Inc., a REIT specializing in acquiring, leasing, developing and managing laboratory and office space for the life science industry, from 2006 to 2011. In addition, he worked in the public and private accounting sector and as an entrepreneur prior to joining BioMed Realty Trust, Inc. Mr. Bekmanis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from San Diego State University while minoring in Japanese.
